01: How has cancer positively affected you: Made me value things around me and given me the courage to strive for the things I've always wanted to do.
02: What does "cancer" mean to you as a Young Adult: Lump/s!
03: Whats the one thing youd say to someone who has just been diagnosed: There are positives just do't live your life waiting for the results of the next appt.
04: What things wont a Doctor tell you: I work in the medical field so I'm not sure what this questions is aiming at.
05: What advice do you have for a caregiver, doctor, or nurse who is treating a Young Adult with cancer: Get involved in everything and everything look after yourself and encourage others (family etc) to access support resources.
06: To me, cancer is: an effective wake up call.
07: What is the best kind of support to give/receive: Receive - SMS messages that offer support but don't require you to have a long chat with them when you are feeling tired just so that you can make them feel miserable about how you really feel about the latest appt.
08: Who or what were your best resources for information: Cancer resource centres - try and stay away from ureliable internet sites!!!
09: What has helped you the most: Positive attitude.
10: Whats your favorite tip or trick for dealing: Whack on your favourite tunes surround yourself with good friends, good food and keep on dancing!
11: The thing that keeps you going is: Knowing that I have so much still to accomplish and enjoy.
12: What are you doing to Prepare to Live: Planning a holiday, raising awareness, particpating in things like Prepare to Live.
