Buddy Search REALLY is coming, we're testing the chat functionality now and hope to have it all up and running by the end of the year. Please bear with us.
NOVEMBER 12, 2008
Greetings from Austin, Texas where we are meeting over 100 members of the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Young Adult Alliance. We have been a charter member since the Alliance was formed, and it's good to be back here working with so many like-minded, passionate people.
We are pleased to use the conference as a forum to debut our new TV/Viral ad, as well as, demo our forthcoming Buddy Search tool that matches up patients, survivors and caregivers based on their age, diagnosis, interests and more.

We are also looking for some help in the areas listed below. If you, or someone you know is interested, please get in touch.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
We are looking for someone to take the reins and grow the organization in 2009. Experience working in and/or managing a non-profit is a plus, but not required. A basic understanding of Young Adult cancer issues is important as is experience as either a patient, survivor or caregiver. Duties may include development/distribution of PR materials, working with global PR, web dev and sponsorship partners, fund-raising, media relations, development of current and future programs including the “Prepare to Live Adventure Series,” and the “Is/Isn’t Online Film Festival.”
GRANT WRITER/S

CFO
This is a role that requires a minimal amount of time and mainly (at this time) serves on paper to meet US Gov’t. requirements for all 501(c)3 non-profit orgs. Other responsibilities may include help with annual tax filings and status, periodic record keeping and updating, and as we grow, financial advice relating to fund-raising, allocation of funds, etc.
AMBASSADORS
We are always looking for people to represent our organization around the world to create and take advantage of media and PR opportunities, as well as spread the word about our various resources. Of particular need are people based in the UK
.

Stay tunes for updates and lokk for it towards the end of the year. Special thanks to the crew at Artyllect for getting stuck into it with us. We're very grateful and pleased to have their help making this life saving and changing resource a reality.
Also this month we introduce a new "Sex & Relationships" Link section - send in yours today as this is a very important and often ignored issue for Young Adults coping with cancer.
