HELP WANTED > Prepare to Live is looking for a new CFO as well as people to represent our organization in the UK. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please get in touch.

Eszter Bikes

OK, now, can I please take a moment to brag about my co-founder ? Check her out! Seven years since diagnosis and she's running, biking, travelling, starting her own business and, of course, snow boarding like a demon. And now she's training for a triathlon!

Recently she came in 5th in the "survivor" category of the Susan G Komen 5k in San Francisco and is now preparing for the SF half-marathon. She's so inspiring, we might have to rename our org "Prepare to Eszter Rabin!"

Congratulations on 7 years Eszter, here's to 70 more!

Matt Dunlap Superstar

Matt Dunlap (on far right) wrote in to tell us he recently survived a half-marathon in Honolulu in 1 hour, 47 minutes as the 105th finisher. He was running as part of the Honolulu Team in Training which raised over $60,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a result of this event. Anybody out there interested in running a fundraiser for P2L?

In his words "My legs were hurting. My big toes were blistered. My ego was bruised by the steady stream of fellow competitors passing me by. I was sick of my loud, aggressive music because I felt neither, and I did not have the energy to put the earphones back over my ears.

Once I made it up to the Diamond Head Lookout at mile 11.5, it was all down hill from there. My friend Weston told me to draw strength from the beauty of the ocean, as well as from the long list of supporters for the race. He told me to focus on Sheldon, Eran, and friends as I finished strong. I'm now sore, but satisfied."

Nice work Matt! Thank you.

The graphic below could be completely wrong and innapropriate, in fact, it is, on so many levels, but it made us laugh, and well...laughter is the best medicine.

chemosabe

You can order one from T-shirt Hell (tell them we sent you), but we'd rather you bought one of ours instead, it's less likey to offend anyone and every purchase supports a good cause - ours. If you don't think it's funny, BUY ONE OF OURS!

In other news, we are pleased to announce the addition of John Phillips to our Advisory Board. John's experience will be invaluable as we work to negotiate and secure meaningful and mutually beneficial realtionships with Sponsors of Prepare to Live.

Andy Canny and Donna McCrum at PLUS, Kim and Mike and the rest of the basement crew at Chiat/TBWA in San Francisco, Kirk Souder at Granite Pass, Shane Nye, Sam Walsh and many more...your efforts are - and will be - appreciated by many. THANK YOU.

Now, who wants to make a feature?

Can you believe this guy?

eran thomson

We saw him while driving home the other day and took this picture. I guess it makes sense him buying a LIVESTRONG wrist band since he's living so WRONG with that cigarette.

Amazing.

Anyway, 2006 is the year of action here at P2L. We are working hard to bring you our first film, developing our media kit, adding functionality to the site and, as always, looking for a few good sponsors.

Thanks to everyone who has filled out one of our new online Join, Buddy Search and Share Your Story forms. If you haven't yet done this, please do!
