Prepare to Live ("P2L") respects the privacy of every individual who visits www.preparetolive.org ("Website"). This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") explains our online information practices. Because your privacy is important to us, we may provide you with notice and choices about the collection and use of your information. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND WHY?

Use of Cookies

P2L may make chats, live forums, message boards, and other means of participation on the Website available to visitors of the Website. If you register to participate in a P2L event, chat room, survey, film etc. we may ask you if you are a cancer survivor. Further, if you elect to use our Tell a Friend service to inform a friend about Prepare to Live, we will ask you for your friend's name, address and email. We will store this information in order to send your friend email inviting him or her to visit the Website.

Product orders: If you choose to order a product, we collect standard credit card information (card number, card type, expiration date) and keep a record of your financial transaction. Credit card numbers are held only until the charge can be processed (usually several minutes), and then the number is only available to Customer Service for purposes of problem resolution.

Contributions: If you choose to donate to our organization, we maintain a record of your contribution. Your financial information will be treated as described above in "Product orders."

Requests: If you submit an online request for P2L products such as films, or submit a question through a "contact us" query, we may have to gather additional information from you to respond to your request. Such information will vary with the request but often includes name, shipping address, telephone number, and email address.

Public Forums: If you choose to participate in a chat room, discussion board, news group or another public forum that we make available to our users, please remember that any information that you disclose in these areas becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding whether or not to disclose your personal information.

Website Registration
In order to access certain sections or to post material or participate in forums on our Website, you may be required to register through the use of a username and password, and to provide certain other personal information, including your email address. By registering your email address you agree to allow others to have open access to this address upon such access, posting or participation. All data collected through Website registration will be in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

HOW ELSE DOES P2L USE INFORMATION THAT IT COLLECTS FROM THE WEBSITE?

Access and Correction
You have a right to know about the personal information that P2L holds about you. You also have a right to correct, amend or delete such information if it is incorrect. Opt Out
Your participation on the Website is entirely voluntary and you may opt-out at any time by notifying us via an email message to info@preparetolive.org. Upon receipt of your "opt-out" message we will remove you from our mailing list.

The Website incorporates appropriate safeguards to protect the security, integrity, completeness, accuracy and privacy of the personal information we have collected and we have put in place reasonable precautions to protect information from loss, misuse and alteration. You hereby acknowledge that P2L is not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you hereby release us from any and all claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.

EXTERNAL LINKS

The Website provides links to various Websites maintained by third parties, including banner ads, which allow the user to "click through" to such party's Website. When you click on one of these links, you will be transferred out of our Website and connected to the Website of the party that maintains such Website. Even if an affiliation exists between our Website and a third party Website, we exercise no control over linked Websites. CHILDREN

The Website is not directed to children and P2L does not knowingly solicit information from any child under the age of 13. Should a child whom we know to be under 13 send personal information to us, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or a parent or guardian) to inform him or her that we must have parental consent before receiving his or her personal information.
